As a John L. Scott broker, my mission is transactional excellence and client satisfaction. That means I work tirelessly to make your home buying or selling process as efficient, stress-free and lucrative for you as possible.

Meet Kristin

Kristin Minner began her real estate career in 1994 and before that she worked in customer service and sales for a wholesale distributor of fine printing papers and other consumables used in the food service and data processing industries. Kristin and her husband Allen Minner work together in the John L. Scott Bellevue-Issaquah office as Team Minner.

Team Minner typically works with clients within 30 minutes of Issaquah in any direction – common cities they work in include Carnation, Fall City, Snoqualmie, North Bend, Issaquah, Redmond and Sammamish. They are a part of John L. Scott’s relocation program, and aim to provide stellar service to earn each client’s business and future referrals. With any client, Kristin prioritizes being accessible and available when they are in need – she understands that in the stressful process of buying or selling a home, providing reassurance and information as quickly as possible is crucial.

When clients work with Kristin and Allen, they can rest assured that their questions, concerns and goals are top-of-mind for the team. Rather than passing off tasks to others or letting things fall off their radar, Kristin and Allen are dedicated to making time to find the answer to every question, hopefully earning the honor of being the brokers clients will turn to for a lifetime.

Kristin’s niche is working with sellers (while Allen shows more buyers), and she enjoys the process of ensuring each listing makes the best possible first impression on the market. Her top priorities when listing a property is ensuring the home is in great condition through improvements and/or staging/decluttering, getting professional photos taken and gathering comprehensive information on the property and the area. Depending on the neighborhood and fervor of housing demand, she enjoys using John L. Scott’s Listing Launch® program.

Allen and Kristin met while in college at the University of Puget Sound, where they both graduated in 1983 with business degrees, with concentrations in management, marketing and psychology between them. They live in the Snoqualmie Valley on acreage in a 1920s Craftsman Bungalow that they moved and remodeled. Allen and Kristin have two children – one who is in technical college and one who is a high school student with special needs.

Before having their second child, Kristin and Allen spent a great deal of time helping with local issues in the Fall City area. They both participated in the restoration of the Fall City Hop Kiln and Harshman-Prescott House. Additionally, they have both helped with planning, transportation, historic preservation and environmental issues. Additionally, they actively support the Fall City Community Association, Pacific Coast Rover Club, Special Olympics and the monthly Fall City Neighbors community nonprofit newsletter.

After giving birth to their second child who has cerebral palsy and cognitive disabilities, much of Kristin and Allen’s volunteerism has shifted focus toward children and young adults with special needs. Kristin spends a lot of time helping her daughter gain as many life skills as possible. She helps her daughter through therapy as well as participation in Special Olympics and other physical activities that help improve her muscle strength and balance. Kristin and Allen are dedicated to building a strong community and public services that can help their daughter and other people with special needs live a positive life.

Kristin’s hobbies include gardening, home improvement and restoration, and watching talented singers and dancers perform. Seven years ago, she joined her church’s handbell choir and currently meets weekly to practice reading and playing music. Kristin also enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Issaquah & Sammamish

There's so much to love about Sammamish and Issaquah. First, the area is perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors. It's away from the hustle and bustle of Seattle and Bellevue and it's one of the most beautiful locations in the world--right between the Cascade mountains and Lake Sammamish. We have fantastic schools and wonderful parks. Sammamish and Issaquah have a small town feel, but we have access to every amenity and nearby Redmond. We're about an hour away from some of the world's best skiing at Alpental and Snoqualmie. There are tons of ways to get outside here: fishing on the lake or biking and Duthie Hill Park which attracts mountain bikers from around the world. Issaquah and Sammamish are small enough that it's easy to get to know your neighbors. There's a real village vibe here. We meet outside to enjoy the gorgeous views and perfect summer weather. If you'd like to find out more about Sammamish and Issaquah, let us know. We'd love to show you around and help you find your perfect home.

Reviews

"Allen provided us a great preparation for our sale explaining the process thoroughly. Allen and Kristen prepared a highly successful open house and recommended an offer review date which allowed for competitive offers. Our offers were well organized for our review allowing for easy comparison. Allen was responsive to our questions/needs and kept us informed on the status of our home sale. He promoted and demonstrated honesty and integrity throughout the entire process. Allen was recommended to me by a former agent I had great respect for, and now Allen (and Kristen)has that respect as well."

"We have worked with Allen five or six times since we came to Fall City, both as buyer's agent and seller's agent and have often recommended him to friends. Allen provides the basis for any recommendations given and is always willing to explain. He moves us through the complicated procedures very clearly and capably. He is respectful of client wishes, even if he does not see them as the best way to proceed. He has been helpful on ways to "stage" and optimize selling possibilities. We have always found him well aware of local conditions and possibilities and able to keep a process moving toward closure."

"We were looking for a house when we moved from the Bay Area in California. The agent who sold our previous house recommended Allen Minner. We are glad she did. Allen is very knowledgeable and really kept us from making some bad decisions when choosing houses and locations. He is very knowledgeable about the area and was responsive to our wants/needs in finding a new home. It took us a while but he helped us find the perfect home in a great neighborhood. We highly recommend Allen Minner as a knowledgeable and reliable real estate agent/"

"Allen and Kristin Minner are a powerful, knowledgeable, and attentive team in real estate...We just completed our FIFTH transaction with them and cannot say enough about how they expertly guide and counsel their clients through the real estate process (or minefield)! They are patient, consistent, and calm in what can be a truly scary and emotional process."

"Allen is very proactive and accommodating. He took the time to understand my unusual criteria and didn't pull any punches in advising me on what made for a good purchase and what to look out for. He was my agent for two purchases and one sale, both inland and a home. I strongly recommend his services."

“We interviewed three realtors prior to selecting Allen and Kristin – a formidable team with John L Scott. They had multiple offers well above asking price after Open House Weekend – a day after it went on MLS in December of 2017. They expertly guided us through the entire sale process without a hitch. I highly recommend using a full service realtor...and I don't believe you will find anyone better than Allen and Kristin.”

“Without question, Allen Minner is an exceptional agent and ‘the’ person to contact when considering any real estate transaction. We wanted an agent who was a consummate professional and personable and he is definitely both. It was and is very clear that he has a thorough understanding of the real estate market; everything from the house to the neighborhood and the region. He took the time to know us as clients and carefully guided us through the process of selling our house. It was a seamless transaction and positive experience that was due to the preparation and care that he took in advising us and tracking all of the steps along the way. We're only sorry that we couldn't give him more than five stars.”

“Dynamic! From the first day we met Allen and Kristin, when they very thoroughly explained all the details involved in the sale process with appropriate charts and facts related to sales in our area to the final signing of papers, this amazing easygoing couple were there for us. Always on top of things. From their ideas and advice on what updates and improvements to do that would make the house more marketable to the very impressive staging of our home they never left a single detail unattended. Every question was answered. If they did not know immediately, they would investigate and find your answer. I highly recommend Allen and Kristin Minner if you have property to sell!!! They are truly wonderful to work with!”

“I had a complicated set of real estate transactions to complete. I wanted to sell some vacant land on Bainbridge Island, sell a rental house in the Montlake neighborhood of Seattle, and buy an auto shop for my son's business to use, and do a 1031 exchange, which allowed me to not pay taxes on the sales, so I had more money to buy the shop. Allen was always helpful, responsive to my questions, and went above and beyond to help me move forward on these sales. He suggested a 1031 company to use. He and his partner Kristin Minner helped me clear stuff from the rental house that had been left there by my sister when I bought the house in 1988. He was patient with our questions, always willing to look something up. He's great and I would recommend him to anyone!”
